Although the term “porosity” of hair is one that has been used in the Internet space for some time, not everyone knows its exact meaning. The term itself can be a daunting one. Especially if you don’t want to delve into the topic of hair care but still want your hair to look great. Find out how to care for your hair the right way – hair extensions colour chart, hairdressing accessories, purple wig, snap hair clips and wig brush – everything determines your hair condition.

What is the proper hair porosity?

First, you need to know that natural oils (like pretty much everything in this world) are made up of microscopic particles. They can be of different sizes – depending on what fatty acids predominate in the oil. In general, the division is very simple, because it is limited to three groups: oils can have small, medium and large particles.

Let’s go back to the subject of hair. If you were to put your hair under a microscope, you would see that it is not as smooth as a mirror, but is made up of overlapping scales – in exactly the same way as a pine or spruce cone. This applies to the aforementioned hair scales. The scales can either cling tightly to each other or spread out to a greater or lesser extent.

What does oil have to do with the porosity of hair?

As we mentioned earlier, oils have different molecules, and hair has different scales. So they need to be properly matched to each other. Otherwise, they won’t work properly and the results won’t be visible on your hair.

That’s why it’s important to choose the right oils for your hair’s porosity. Otherwise, you could be doing your hair more harm than good, either by weighing it down or giving it a nice fluffy texture. Neither effect is desirable.

The Porosity of Hair and How to Care for It

Your hair is your business card. How you take care of your hair depends on how well you know what your hair needs. If you want your hair to look its best, it is a good idea to do a porosity test to find out what it actually needs. You can either do a test on the Internet or visit a specialist who can determine the porosity of your hair and give you the right care. Knowing what your hair needs will help you take good care of it, which will give you spectacular results!

Don’t choose your hair care products haphazardly – you are only a few moments away from taking the wrong care of your hair. Even the best hair care products will not give you the right results if they are not tailored to your hair’s needs. Conscious hair care is a process, which must be ongoing and regular to be effective. We guarantee that patience pays off, and your hair after such professionally selected care will be in excellent condition!

. Sometimes with low porosity hair, the twist is changed by becoming too healthy and heavy, but we don’t have to worry about frequent fluffing. With medium-porosity hair, it’s harder to get volume from the roots and it’s easier to get it heavy, but you can get this combination by using products with the right PEH and ingredients in them. With high porosity, it’s impossible to get bored. It is easier to get volume, fluff certainly helps, but at the same time it is hard to weigh them down, they often like it rich and a lot. High porosity is a frequent surprise, because simply going outside in the rain is enough for washing and styling the day before to fail. For the rest, there are no oils, emollients or silicones that will make it fluff-free when wet with high porosity.
